How to Increase Fertility in the 30s

There is absolutely no way to predict how soon you will get pregnant or be able to impregnate your partner when you are ready to be a parent. according to experts, If both partners are in good health, and having regular unprotected sex, they should be able to conceive in their first year of trying.

1) Eat a balanced diet
A well-balanced diet is always on the top list of things to consider when trying to increase fertility. It will help you maintain a healthy weight as being underweight or overweight can negatively affect your fertility. Weight fluctuations can cause irregular periods which reduces your chances of conception. include foods rich in healthy protein in your diet like chicken, fish, beans, fresh fruits and vegetables, and whole wheat grains. regularly have eggs to increase your omega-3 fatty acids.

Foods that are high in trans fats, artificial flavoring, and refined sugar should be strictly avoided.

2) Avoid consuming alcohol/ caffeine

Limit your alcohol and caffeine consumption or stay away from them completely if you can. Heavy drinking has been associated with changes in ovulation, cycle regulation, and ovarian reserve. You can also advise your partner to stay away from them as they have a negative effect on the quality of sperm.

3) Avoid smoking and do not stay around smokers

Smoking is dangerous to both male and female reproductive health. consider quitting if you smoke or try not to be around those that are smoking as secondhand smoking is bad too

4) Regular Exercise

Regular exercises will not only keep you fit but also boost your fertility. Try out some Cardio exercises like running, swimming, or biking. you can also take a class in the gym.

5) Reduce stress

There are studies that link stress to infertility, it may not cause infertility directly but it leads to lifestyle factors that make it difficult to conceive. Engaging in yoga or breathable exercises too is very helpful in reducing stress. The exercises should be done in the morning before you start your day and before going to bed.
